But my journey with filming started long before Kheir's Media.
My interest in filming began when I was just 11 years old, when I first picked up a Crosstour camera. However, it was at 13, when I saved up the money from Christmas and my birthday to buy my first proper camera, a second-hand Nikon D3300.
I spent countless hours experimenting with the cameras, creating videos in my garden and filming my brother around the house. During those years, I taught myself how to shoot, edit and tell stories through video, gradually developing the skills and knowledge that would later become the foundation of my career.
Then, at the beginning of 2025, I suffered an ACL tear while playing football. Football had always been one of my biggest passions in life, alongside filming and creating with my camera, so suddenly being unable to play for a long period of time was difficult.
Losing one of those passions gave me a completely different perspective on the other. It made me realise how quickly something you love can be taken away, and how fortunate I was to have another passion that I could continue to pursue every day.
I began to look at videography differently. It wasn't just something I enjoyed doing in my spare time, it was something I genuinely wanted to build a future around. I realised I had the opportunity to turn my passion for filming into an income, create my own business and make a career out of something I loved.
That realisation gave me the push to stop putting it off and go all in on videography. At 17, I started Kheir's Media.
Just over a year later, at 18, we have worked with countless sports teams across multiple sports, as well as businesses and organisations across a wide range of industries. Along the way, Kheir's Media has grown and is now capable of taking on larger-scale productions and delivering content across a variety of platforms.
What started with a second-hand Nikon D3300 has grown into a business I never imagined I would have at 18, and we're only getting started.
